Lol. Aargh. Zzzz. Oops.

I sat down and wept.

Jai’s Last Hurrah

Like what Trix and I have always been saying to each other, “Lahat ng simula may katapusan.” Awww. It was Jairra’s last day at SHI and we celebrated with a baaaam! Whatever that means.

With the SHI peeps!

It was a fun steady night at Tia Maria’s. We were the loudest table again. Look at all those smiles on their faces.

Trix left early because she’s on a mid-shift. Argh, work. Eesh.

First 3 words that come to my mind when I think of Jai: beach, booze and bikini. Her profile pictures on facebook are proof. Paul even drew her in a 2-piece swimsuit from Penshoppe. Haha.

It was through iTunes when I first heard of Jai. I chanced upon her playlist through the local network and found out that we like almost the same type of music. I was pissed at first because she’s a competition. She was on my list since then. Nyaha.

But when I finally had the opportunity to talk to her, instead of bitching, I asked if I can have a copy of some of her music. Hihi. She is our resident DJ. And I know how hard it is to create a very coherent playlist. Cheers to Jai.

Everybody called it a night after Tia Maria’s. But Jai, Estele and I thought that the night was still young. Jai and Estele wanted to have some beer, pizza and boys so we went to Cable Car.

You and your bikini body will surely be missed at the office, Jai! And definitely this wouldn’t be the last one.

And all together now in Jairra’s tone, you knooow it! Boom!

Grainy Nectar

During those times when I thought that life was simpler, I would just normally hang out or have dinner after work with MJ and/or Jewel. Not that my life is getting more and more complicated. It’s just that MJ’s and Jewel’s lives are less simpler now. MJ is in a relationship while Jewel is single but not available. (Haha. Sorry, Jewel Dy.)

I usually rant about life when I’m with these two. They are my shock absorbers. But that night at Nectar, we just had spontaneous conversations, a saucer with risotto, some life realizations, a serving of pasta, a little catching up and a bottle of wine.

We realized that our tolerance to alcohol is getting lower. Before, Jewel and I can consume 2 bottles of wine in one night. But now, we are sharing over a single bottle.

We went somewhere we all haven’t tried. Nectar is just one street away from our office. For some reason, it reminded me of No Limits. It just so happened that I was contemplating about the meaning of No Limits on that same day.

I was experimenting the white balance of my camera. Thus, the grainy pictures. In real life, we have to experiment. So, I did. Thus, my grainy life.

Sign Seeking

Kim and I were just wandering the streets on a random weeknight like we used to whenever we hang out at her condo in Ortigas. I was about to say we were chasing cars. But it was a bit late and the roads were car-less so we were more like chasing pavements. (Waaah. Corny!)

I wasn’t trying to do or talk about something profound. But I was looking for signs. Literally and figuratively. I have to thank Kim for bearing with me. Again. Haha. Because some people were looking at me. But who cares.

But after all the long walks, street signs and deep thoughts…

Zilch.

House Blessing Blues

It’s almost a year since we transferred to our new home in Valenzuela. But it’s just last Sunday when we had our home blessed/healed/cleansed. (There are too many terms on Wiki.) To our new home… Uhmmm… Welcome to the Christian world..?

It was our lolo bishop who was supposed to hold the ceremony. But then again, he left the party a bit too early. My mom and I went to San Isidro Labrador Church, which is the nearest church from our home, prior the actual date of house blessing and asked the parish priest to perform the ritual. My mom was sporting a dramatic stare again as usual.

Like Marilyn Monroe and Princess Diana, I am also living my life like a candle in the wind. Never knowing where to cling to when the rain sets in. True story.

Christmas decoration on the front door in the month of May. It’s more fun in the Philippines.

The house is owned originally by my lolo’s sister. But she offered us to move in to her place last year because my grandparents need a cleaner and fresher environment. I’m not sure about their agreement on what’s going to happen on deed and title and the like. Or if my lolo is going to trade our house in Caloocan in exchange. Only the grown-ups are involved.

My lola and tita prepared some food.

The people at home are going for green these past few days. So much for having me being a plant advocate. Ugh.

Random plant.

Isabelle running barefoot. Tsk tsk. But it’s okay because the house blessing is over. Gone are the bad spirits and germs after the priest sprinkled holy water. We didn’t have coins though to protect us from poverty while inhabiting this place. I hope the bills would do.

Isabelle barely smiles in front of the camera but now she’s giving me a peace sign.

Maybe because our home is more peaceful now. It’s hard to dance with a devil on your back yah know.

Dinah’s Birthday Celebration

I have been living in the moment since I began working that sometimes I forget to look back. My college friends and I went to Dinah’s place for the first time in a long time. Mahjong, videoke, slumber, pig-out, laugh trips. It was the same old scene.

Rushed edit. If only I had the time. Haha.

Here’s Dinah blowing the candle. We didn’t find a birthday candle for her but there was an unused scented candle in their living room.

Lol at the posing part. Haha. Happy birthday, Dinah!

The Avengers

Finally! I was hesitating to go with my college friends at first because of the schedule. I wanted to spend the entire weekend at home. I just felt like I have so many things to do or maybe just to think about. But ruining my own plan paid off because I got to see The Avengers!!! And with my college friends after a long time!

Everybody was losing weight! Especially Aica. Great job.

With the gang! Lloyd, Frexy, Aica, Jan Lloyd and Verhart. To be fair, everyone was a bit early. Lorie was just on time. Therefore, no picture. Haha.

Thanks Aica for this shot. Nyaha. I was wearing for the first time the watch my office friends gave me for my birthday.

What’s funny was everyone hasn’t seen the movie yet which I really found weird and amusing. Haha. The Avengers was in theaters for days now and no one from us has seen it yet. We’re busy like that. Lol. That’s why we really enjoyed the film. I was rooting for Thor! Then, Hulk. Then, Ironman.

After the movie, we went to Dinah’s place to celebrate her birthday. Food! Yay!
