Lol. Aargh. Zzzz. Oops.
Grainy Nectar

During those times when I thought that life was simpler, I would just normally hang out or have dinner after work with MJ and/or Jewel. Not that my life is getting more and more complicated. It’s just that MJ’s and Jewel’s lives are less simpler now. MJ is in a relationship while Jewel is single but not available. (Haha. Sorry, Jewel Dy.)

I usually rant about life when I’m with these two. They are my shock absorbers. But that night at Nectar, we just had spontaneous conversations, a saucer with risotto, some life realizations, a serving of pasta, a little catching up and a bottle of wine.

We realized that our tolerance to alcohol is getting lower. Before, Jewel and I can consume 2 bottles of wine in one night. But now, we are sharing over a single bottle.

We went somewhere we all haven’t tried. Nectar is just one street away from our office. For some reason, it reminded me of No Limits. It just so happened that I was contemplating about the meaning of No Limits on that same day.

I was experimenting the white balance of my camera. Thus, the grainy pictures. In real life, we have to experiment. So, I did. Thus, my grainy life.

Brew-Haha

Found another hole-in-the-wall along Valero!

Normally, while going to or from Paseo Center I would just ignore Brew-Kus. It seems uninteresting because the place is not crowded at night.

But I had the chance to have lunch there one time with the SHI peeps because we all wanted to try something new.

With Trix.

Arlin and Aileen.

Julianne and Felix.

Jai and Ken.

Paul and Macky.

Joseph and Sasha.

And me. Ugh. I’m so gaining weight. Tsk.

The place is relatively new and it showed in our first Brew-Kus experience. Long waiting time, incomplete orders and incorrect bill amount.

The place was jam-packed. I was surprised because it’s not like this every evening whenever I pass by.

Or maybe it was because of me. That’s why the place was jam-packed.

Nyaha.

We were waiting like forever!

Oops, I forgot. There’s no forever. Only 21 is forever. Baaam!

After an hour, the food finally arrived.

Even if the best falls down sometimes (huh?), I ordered one of their bestsellers.

The Wild Mushroom pasta was yummy and heavy!

It tasted like mushroom soup. Boom!

I was ‘almost’ impressed because serving size was bigger than usual, food was served warm and plating was very nice.

Just ‘almost’ because it’s not perfect.

Nothing is perfect. Just like forever.

Meanwhile, Trixie was rejoicing like there was really no forever when the food came.

Aside from the food, one reason to go back here is the cozy ambience. It’s a perfect hang out place on a cold, lazy, spontaneous night.

I’m not sure though if it’s open 24 hours.

I hope.

Though I’m pretty sure that it’s not going to be open forever.

(Uuuuugggggh. Enough of the forever jokes!!!)

And they’re serving milk tea as well which I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or not because milk tea is a fad. It’s giving me an impression that this place might be a fad too.

Oh well.

Nothing’s ever built to last. (Wut?!)

Their service had major flaws that would highly upset difficult customers but we’re giving them a chance because it’s still new. They could still practice and improve.

Maybe a little soul searching might help. Lolz.

And when Brew-Kus finds itself, I’ll go back there.

Doh.

For now, I’ll just continue passing in front of Brew-Kus while going to Pho Hoa in Paseo Center.

And have Vermicelli Bowl, my favorite food as of the moment.

Yup. Just for now.

Because after all, there’s no such thing as…

(Wait for it.)

Ugh. Nevermind.

The Plantation x The One That Got Away

On our very last day as teammates, we forced ourselves once again for the very last time to bear a couple of hours and spend lunch together to relive the almost 5 months of withstanding the attitude we’ve been giving to each other. As we call it, our “plastican lunch”. Haha.

It wasn’t the right time to experiment with the aperture and ISO. Uuuggh. I knew it would look like these. But Robbie’s shot is pretty decent. Ahihi.

Carlos getting emotional already. Haha. Naaah. Actually, not everyone will part ways. Only Trix and Dave got transferred to another team. There’s no falling out.

Dave pouting at Sir Rey.

Sir Rey’s profile. I had a hard time taking candid shots. As always, beautiful moments are never captured. I think they are meant that way.

Dave praying over the binagoongan rice.

Trixie! Auuuh. She’s going to miss me so bad. And I’m going to miss Penggy so bad. We’re not seatmates anymore so we have to talk so loud to communicate from now on. Haha.

Take 1! We were with James, Yasah and Mariel.

Ooops. Someone’s sleeping. Take 2!

It was fun working with them. Like literally. Laugh trips were all happening when we’re working, which was unexpected because we had a rough start. Errr. Still ain’t good at this. Haha. But now, it’s time to face the music. Cheeeeeese.

Whistle After Dinner

We’re just too lazy to go home. After Mark’s despedida dinner, we went out to explore the wonders of Makati for the nth time to look for a place where we could hang out. And I promised Joyshee to meet up at midnight.

Our goal was just to have a steady night. We didn’t want to get wasted. And I was craving for chocolate milkshake.

With Hans and Richie. We were teasing Richie about his twitter name @richiepogi. So we told Hans to beat that and create a twitter account with username @hanssome. Haha.

Not the best chocolate milkshake. I wasn’t in the mood to complain so I settled for this. Craving not satisfied.

Joyshee and her most favorite food in the world. She can finish two orders of sisig in one meal. Haha.

That night was so filled with nachos.

Joyshee, the finisher.

Eddie dropped by too.

A still image of Richie from his music video. Lolz. Loved the music inside the place by the way.

Me looking thin as Joyce said. Haha. And Estele pouting. Why is everybody pouting these days? Heartbroken much? Bwahahaha.

I like the place despite the chocolate milkshake. Will go back here probably on a lazy day. Which is everyday. Haha.

Blue & Yellow

It’s been a year since the first light show in Ayala Triangle began. At least to my knowledge. And that time was my first time to explore the new establishments in the area. I could still remember those days like it was yesterday. Life is fast like a slide show.

There were more lights this year, I think. They were all shining for me. But they’re not true. Because they’re not yellow. (Huh?)

And of course, there were more people jumping on the bandwagon. Hehe.

But I would still recommend people to visit. It’s worth a click on the shutter. That is, if you’re not like me who’s just a mere poser-grapher. Boohoo.

All restaurants in Ayala Triangle were in full house. We walked along the streets of Makati and looked for a hole-in-the-wall that we haven’t tried before. We found this ramen house called Raku along Valero.

Me and my muggy face. The lighting was familiar. Is this the new trend in interior lighting? Or it’s just my camera setting?

Fernando and his new hairdo. He is reviving the F4 look.

Their bestsellers are ramen. I just figured. Because it’s a ramen house. Tsss. But Fernando had gyudon.

And I had katsudon, as usual. I’m starting to get tired of this.

And I’m also getting tired of the restaurants in Ayala Triangle. I think they should drop and replace the would-be least popular spots regularly. For my sake. Haha.

But they should keep the light show forever. Even though they’re blue. Even though they’re not yellow. (Wut?)
